Terengganu Inc. At A Glance

The Terengganu State Government has taken a positive measure with the setting up of Terengganu Incorporated Sdn. Bhd. (Terengganu Inc.) to manage all forms of commercial business, investment activity and trade.  Management is executed through six (6) State Government agencies.

The agencies involved are Menteri Besar, Terengganu (Incorporated) (MB Inc.), Lembaga Tabung Amanah Warisan Negeri Terengganu (LTAWNT), Perbadanan Memajukan Iktisad Negeri Terengganu (PMINT), Yayasan Terengganu (YT), Yayasan Islam Terengganu (YIT) and Yayasan Pembangunan Keluarga (YPK).

The merger of the State investment portfolio under the management of Terengganu Inc. is driven by the State Government’s aspiration to generate a high return from its business investments. With this restructuring, commercial activities will be taken over by Terengganu Inc. allowing State Government agencies to give attention to their core purpose, namely the implementation of social development projects for the people's benefit. This move is expected to eliminate any overlap in activities, create greater synergy and strengthen State mastery of its investments.
