With natural gas reserves estimated at 31.2 trillion cubic feet and 1.63 billion barrels of crude oil reserves Terengganu is already a regional petrochemical powerhouse. Huge reserves coupled with a proliferation of minerals such as tin, gold, iron, silica and granite feed hungry national and regional industries.

Hand in hand with this push to generate higher incomes and boost economic growth, the state is investing millions in upgrading its human capital in order to meet future demand in target sectors of value-added manufacturing, agribusiness and tourism.

Terengganu is the natural choice for the agriculture, fisheries and livestock sector. We will be focusing on increasing the yields of these industries, which will assist in developing the upstream and downstream activities to these sectors.

Through Amanah Saham Darul Iman, the people of Terengganu can participate and benefit from Terengganu Inc’s investment activities which saw an 8% dividend return in 2006.
